The Waterfront House sits nestled right on the shores of the world-famous fishing grounds - Lough Corrib, surrounded by the Hills of Connemara, just a short stroll along a winding country lane from Aughnanure Castle and the lovely Oughterard 18 hole Parkland golf course in the heart of the Irish countryside.
The Waterfront House was specially designed and built to suit the needs of guests looking for that memorable overnight stay and, with over twenty years experience in the business, Mary and Tom Walsh have come to know exactly what the visitor expects.
All rooms have private en suite with power-shower, hairdryer and multi channel TV. Wifi Broadband Internet Access is available throughout our home.
The Waterfront House is ideally and centrally located as a base to explore a vast area of the west of Ireland from the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands right the way up through Connemara to Clifden and Westport.
We are 16 miles (25.5km.) approx. from Galway City along the N59, and it takes between 20 minutes and 30 minutes to travel by car, depending on the time of travel and the traffic situation.
We are 30 miles (48km.) approx. from Clifden along the N59, and it takes 1 hour, or less, to travel by car.
Why put yourself through the torture of packing and unpacking, moving from house to house, when you should be busy enjoying yourself discovering our "little bit of Heaven"!!
Stay an extra night, or so, at the Waterfront House and leave your worries behind you while you go and see what you came to see - in comfort!!
There are lots of historical places of interest to visit and so much to see and do for all the family - all within a short drive of the Waterfront House.
