This walk takes you through a narrow country lane with beautiful views down over Ross Lake and the Moycullen Hills to the south-east right the way through to the Connemara Hills to the west. Over a little bridge that takes you into a mature coniferous forest close to the shores of Ross Lake and Ross Castle - the one time home of the famous Martyns of Ross.

This walk can also be driven or cycled.
